Thank God, Karl wasn’t here to see him pacing and quibbling over his clothes. By the time the hour crawled by he decided he’d better not change anything except he might’ve gone overboard on the showers and antiperspirant, but who could fault him on that?
His gaze kept shifting to his phone, waiting for Adia to make her text or call, or whatever she did to let him know she was here.
In the end, he was a lot less nervous than he thought he would be. He felt kind of an adrenaline rush, like he experienced when he was working out. He had done something and nothing bad had happened so far, and it didn’t seem like anything would. Fingers %ed.
It felt like a bad movie as she kept throwing clothes everywhere trying to find something to wear. After the fifth outfit she felt as though it was finally good enough. If only Flis was here to help her. Flis always looked so pretty and she has probably gone on plenty of dates. But Adia did her best to look as nice as she could.
Once she felt like everything was good enough she grabbed her stuff and started walking towards the boys dorm. Half way there she contemplated going back cause she was second guessing her outfit, but she decided not to for she didn’t want to be late. When she finally got there she sent him a text saying she was there.
Seconds after sending the text butterflies filled her stomach. She was nervous and excited all at the same time. All she could do now was wait for him to come down.
